This week, eleven students and one lecturer from the Brisbane School of Theology have arrived to partner with St Bart’s for a week. They will be involved in a whole variety of ministries. Throughout the week, there will be three great events that I want to highlight.
Prayer Night – Monday, August 26, 5.30PM.
Last week as we looked at the Lord’s Prayer, we saw that it is a BIG prayer that is to shape the rest of our persistent prayer lives. What a great opportunity we have then, to encourage one another and pray together as a church on this evening. This night will include dinner from 5.30PM and prayer from 6.30PM in different ways for different things in the world and in the life of our church.
Women’s Coffee and Dessert Night – Thursday, August 29, 7.30PM
We will be having a coffee and dessert night for all women and friends. The evening will be very relaxed with delicious food and coffee. During the evening, a couple of BST Students will share their testimony about the impact Jesus has had on their lives. This is a great opportunity to invite that friend you have been praying for to an easy, relaxed evening.
Father’s and Children’s BBQ – Saturday, Aug 31, 7.30AM
As we celebrate Father’s Day on the following Sunday, we will be having a Father’s, Grandfather’s, Children, and Grandchildren’s BBQ breakfast. There will be activities for kids, opportunities for conversation with friends, great food and coffee, and a few testimonies from fathers. This is also a great event to invite friends and their children to.
